Dust II consistently leads as the most popular map due to its iconic layout, balanced gameplay, and straightforward strategy options. Play rates fluctuate based on map pool updates, pro scene meta shifts, and community preferences.
Counter-Strike maps are broadly categorized into different types, each offering unique gameplay experiences and requiring distinct strategies. The most common types are Active Duty, Hostage, and Reserve maps.
